Frequently asked questions
Common questions about the programme, NATO DIANA evaluation, doctrine, and export control.
Is +Shield a finished product?
No. +Shield Programme is in research and development and is being prepared as a NATO DIANA Challenge 2027 submission. Tiers T1–T2 are concepts; T3–T5 are research.
Who is this site for?
NATO DIANA evaluators, allied procurement, defence partners, and media. Deeper material is provided to authorised parties through a secure briefing.
How does the human-in-the-loop doctrine work?
No +Shield system performs autonomous lethal engagement. A human operator authorises every engagement via +ROP biometric authentication — enforced in the architecture, not offered as an optional setting.
What is the +N tier?
The +N tier is subject to international legal authorisation and is not publicly documented. The site carries no specifications or materials for it.
Is the technology export-controlled?
Yes. Any export is subject to EU Regulation No. 258/2012 and national licensing. Information on the site does not constitute an offer of military goods.
Who is behind the programme?
+Shield Programme is a research initiative of the Czech company PLUS HOUSE s.r.o. Defence activities will transfer to a dedicated entity, PLUS DEFENCE s.r.o.
